Terms & Conditions
This is the boring bit, lots of words that all sound quite serious! However, it is important that you read through this document and then we can get on to the fun stuff. Terms and conditions apply to all of my services. Please note that payment for services also implies full agreement with these Terms and Conditions.

I reserve the right not to provide services to any dog that I consider dangerous or a danger to any person or other animal. This shall be at the sole discretion of me.
My Responsibilities
-
CCanineChange is proud to follow the APDT, UK Code of Practice.
-
Harsh handling, physical/ emotional intimidation, choke/ pinch collars, spray collars, electronic training collars or hand-held spray devices will not be allowed in any of my classes or training sessions. Anyone who insists on using such techniques will be coached to apply an alternative, and to leave if not willing to train without pain, fear or intimidation. No refunds are applicable in these situations.
-
I cannot guarantee the speed of how a dog will progress through a plan, because each dog is an individual case with different behavioural and training issues and a different background.
-
The training that I use will be tailored for your dog based on the information you provide to me, including via the Dog Information Form, as well as my assessment of your dog’s behaviour via direct observation and footage provided.
-
I will apply personal judgement and will cut short a session, if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to: excessive heat, torrential rain, thunderstorms and snow or ice. The decision to do so lays with me using my personal judgement, for the safety of myself, the client and client’s dog, members of the public, and other animals. If a session is cut short, I will give you an option to add the lost time on to the next session, or to re-schedule in the case that a significant proportion of the session was lost.
Client Responsibilities
-
It is your responsibility to fully and honestly complete the Dog Information Form and send it to me at least 48 hours in advance of your session. I accept no responsibility for matters not disclosed on the Form.
-
Please inform me before any training session regarding any updates to the information previously provided in the Dog Information Form. This includes but is not limited to: medical information, dog behavioural changes, homing situation or ownership of the dog and legal matters relating to the dog for example a court order.
-
You confirm that the dog is not subject to the Dangerous Dog Act 1991, is not subject to a court order and is lawfully in your care.
-
Please advise me in advance of the session if your dog has been in contact with another dog infected by a contagious disease or if they appear to be unwell (eg. vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, runny nose etc). Depending on the issue, it may be advisable for the session to be cancelled or re-arranged (see Refunds and Cancellations). If your dog has any known allergies or intolerances to certain foods or has any other special needs, it is your responsibility to bring this to the attention of the trainer prior to the start of the session, and provide appropriate alternative treats etc.
-
It is your responsibility to keep yourself, your family and visitors, and your dog safe. I am not responsible for injuries or damage to you, your dog or personal property. Your dog must be kept on a lead during training unless agreed with me.
-
You are responsible for all vet bills, no matter how they are incurred.
-
You must keep your dog under control during the session. Failure to do so and any injury caused by your dog being out of control will be your full responsibility.
-
You are responsible for bringing any recommended equipment advised by me to the session.
-
If your dog is known to bite other dogs or cause injury then they must wear a well-fitting muzzle for the session. I take no responsibility for dogs not muzzled or not kept under control during the session or when outside of the session.
-
In some cases, I may use a stooge dog to aid training. You will be responsible for keeping your dog a sufficient and safe distance from the stooge dog and if asked your dog will wear a muzzle during these sessions.
Health and Vaccination
All dogs and puppies should be suitably protected from the potential risk of disease, as well as being appropriately treated for internal and external parasites. CCanine Change advises that owners should consult their veterinary professional with regard to such issues. There can be no guarantee that there is absolutely no risk of disease at any venue or when in contact with any other dogs or materials, such as toys, which may have been in contact with other dogs. It is the owner/ handler’s responsibility to ensure that their dog is appropriately protected against the risk of disease: CCanineChange accepts no responsibility for the potential or actual exposure of dogs to disease. If a client chooses not to routinely vaccinate their dog/ puppy (for example because they are choosing titre testing or using homeopathic nosodes), this is entirely the choice of the owner and is a decision made at their own risk.

Parking
If I am visiting your home, please make a parking place available if possible. If not, and there is on-street parking which requires a visitor permit, please have a visitor permit ready when I arrive. If parking at your home (or other venue at which we have arranged to meet) requires payment, please could you kindly make arrangements for this.

Children
Children are very welcome to attend training sessions, with appropriate adult supervision. I accept no responsibility for children at training sessions and it is the responsibility of the supervising adult to ensure the children’s safety at all times. Young people under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

-
