Cecilia Henze dog trainer

About Me

I'm Cecilia Henze (BSc Hons, Animal Behaviour & Welfare), and I started C.CanineChange after more than 12 years working for Guide Dogs for the blind. During my previous role, I trained numerous guide dogs, from puppies to fully fledged guides. One of my roles was also to solve behaviour problems at all stages of the dogs' training.

Guide dogs are just like any dog and can have just the same issues you might be experiencing with your pet. Some common problems I regularly worked with include; pulling excessively, lunging, jumping up, barking, scavenging, reactivity, stopping on walks, poor re-call and fear of the vet. These issues can occur at any stage of a guide dogs' life; from puppy, whilst training, when matched with a visually impaired client, and during re-homing.

My training methods focus on positive reinforcement. These are science backed methods which are ethical and effective. Working together, I will support you to also use these, so that you and your dog can live a happier life together. For each dog and human partnership, I take a holistic approach as several things in your dog's daily life can contribute to problem behaviours.

I am fully insured and hold a DBS check.
